Job summary

Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, is seeking a Quality Inspector for onsite work in Santa Isabel, Puerto Rico. The role focuses on ensuring components meet design data, engineering drawings, specifications, and contract requirements through detailed inspections throughout manufacturing.

You will read drawings, operate inspection tools, conduct audits, and collaborate with engineering to resolve issues, while maintaining aerospace standards and documentation integrity.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent with minimum 1 year of relevant experience.
• Professional or educational experience communicating in English (verbal and written).
• U.S. citizenship is required to access information under this program/contract.
• No disciplinary actions in record (5 years).

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret drawings, schematics, work instruction sheets, and standards.
• Inspect parts, assemblies, raw materials, tooling, and instruments using inspection tools.
• Perform random audits of assembly processes, procedures, and products.
• Collaborate with supervisors and engineering to improve processes or report issues.
• Examine materials and sub-assemblies and reject products per procedures and drawings.
• Identify discrepancies between work instructions and plans.
• Document non-conformities in the systems.
• Read and interpret technical data and quality procedures.
• Make decisions based on established criteria and stop processes when necessary.
