MAPP Technologies L.L.C. in the Joplin Metropolitan Area seeks an Aerospace Cost Estimator to develop detailed cost models for aerospace components based on drawings, OEM specs, and process requirements.

This full-time, on-site role collaborates with engineering, operations, supply chain, and sales to ensure competitive pricing. You will analyze labor, material, tooling, and overhead, evaluate manufacturing methods, monitor actual costs vs estimates, and identify variances with a view to cost

Formación

  • Cost management and cost control skills for developing, tracking, and refining cost models in a manufacturing environment.
  • Analytical skills for interpreting technical data, evaluating process options, and assessing cost drivers and risks.
  • Project estimation and budgeting skills to create accurate quotes, forecast project costs, and support financial planning.
  • Experience with aerospace or defense manufacturing processes, including machining, welding, coating, and assembly, is highly beneficial.
  • Proficiency with spreadsheets, ERP or MRP systems, and estimation tools; ability to work with engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, operations, and commercial teams.
  • Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in engineering, industrial technology, finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in cost estimating or manufacturing.

Role Description

The Aerospace Cost Estimator is a full-time, on-site role located in the Joplin Metropolitan Area. This role is responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates for aerospace and defense components and assemblies, based on engineering drawings, OEM specifications, and process requirements. Day-to-day activities include analyzing labor, material, tooling, and overhead requirements; evaluating manufacturing methods such as machining, welding, coating, and assembly; and developing accurate cost models to support quoting and pricing decisions. The Aerospace Cost Estimator collaborates closely with engineering, operations, supply chain, and sales teams to validate assumptions, refine estimates, and ensure competitive and sustainable pricing. The role also involves monitoring actual costs versus estimates, identifying variances, and recommending process or cost improvements to support profitability and continuous improvement.
