A family-owned U.S. manufacturing company is seeking a remote Staff Accountant. This full-time subcontractor role requires a degree in Accounting and fluent English. Responsibilities include managing financial operations, month-end closes, and accounts payable. Preference for candidates with experience in U.S. manufacturing. Formación

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.
• Accounting experience preferably in a US-manufacturing company.
• CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification is a bonus.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP or IFRS.
• Proficient with MRP/ERP systems and advanced Excel.
• Ability to work remotely with reliable internet.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to headquarters.

Responsabilidades

• Support month-end financial close including journal entry preparation.
• Manage all aspects of accounts payable including invoice verification.
• Assist with preparation for annual audits.
• Maintain and improve internal controls by following policies and suggesting efficiencies.
• Assist with preparation for annual audits (financial statements, retirement plans, workers’ compensation).
• Track and maintain fixed asset ledger and record related transactions.
• Engage in continuous improvement activities using systemic thinking and root cause analysis.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

About the Role

Jarvis Cutting Tools, a 125-year-old, family-owned, U.S.-based manufacturing company, is seeking a highly skilled and fluent English-speaking Staff Accountant to join our finance team remotely. This full-time subcontractor position is open to candidates located in Latin America. You will report directly to the Accounting Manager, playing a critical role in supporting financial operations and ensuring accuracy and compliance across accounting functions.

• Support month-end financial close, including journal entry preparation and balance sheet account reconciliations
• Reconcile and analyze key general ledger accounts
• Manage all aspects of accounts payable, including invoice verification, payment scheduling and vendor communication
• Maintain and improve internal controls by following policies and suggesting efficiencies
• Assist with preparation for annual audits (financial statements, retirement plans, workers’ compensation)
• Track and maintain fixed asset ledger and record related transactions
• Engage in continuous improvement activities using systemic thinking and root cause analysis
• Perform other duties as assigned

Required Skills

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Accounting experience – preferably in a US-manufacturing company
• Fluent in English (spoken and written)
• Strong understanding of GAAP or IFRS
