SoftwareOne is seeking a Database Administrator in Bogotá to manage SQL Server databases, handle incidents, and advance automation skills. You will contribute to maintenance, backups, and performance tuning while gradually exploring other database technologies in a global, collaborative environment.

Qualificações

• Basic knowledge of SQL Server including installation, configuration, and administration.
• Basic T-SQL skills including queries, joins, and simple stored procedures.
• Understanding of backups, restoration, indexes, performance concepts, and maintenance plans.
• Conceptual understanding of high availability (Always On, Failover, Replication).
• Interest in PowerShell, scripting, and task automation, with motivation to develop these skills.

Responsabilidades

• Handle incidents and requests related to SQL Server databases.
• Assist with database installation, configuration, maintenance, backup, and restoration.
• Help automate tasks and processes using PowerShell and SQL Server Agent Jobs.
• Support performance tuning, indexing, locking, and concurrency for database availability.
• Gradually gain exposure to other database technologies such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.

Database Administrator | SQL & Automation

As a Database Administrator, you will join a team focused on database operations and support. You will work primarily with SQL Server, handle incidents and technical requests, perform maintenance activities, and support process automation while progressively expanding your knowledge of other database technologies.

What you'll do:

• Handle incidents and requests mainly related to SQL Server databases.
• Support database installation, configuration, maintenance, backup, and restoration activities.
• Help automate tasks and processes using PowerShell, scripting, SQL Server Agent Jobs, and task scheduling.
• Support activities related to performance, indexes, locks, concurrency, and database availability.
• Gradually gain exposure to other database technologies such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
