SoftwareOne in Colombia is seeking a Database Administrator to join our team focused on SQL Server operations and automation. You will handle incidents, perform maintenance, and support process automation while expanding knowledge of other database technologies.

The role offers opportunities to work with Always On, backups, performance tuning, and integration of scripting with PowerShell. You’ll collaborate with global teams and contribute to reliable data platforms in a dynamic, collaborative

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of SQL Server installation and administration.
• Proficient in T-SQL queries, joins, and simple stored procedures.
• Understanding of backups, restoration, indexes, and maintenance plans.
• Knowledge of high availability concepts (Always On, Failover, Replication).
• Interest in PowerShell, scripting, and task automation.

Responsabilités

• Handle incidents and requests related to SQL Server databases.
• Assist with database installation, configuration, maintenance, backup, and restore.
• Develop automation tasks using PowerShell and SQL Server Agent Jobs.
• Monitor performance, indexes, locks, and concurrency to ensure availability.
• Explore additional database technologies like Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
