Carolina Construction is seeking a Senior Accountant to lead A/P and A/R, own end-to-end accounting operations, and partner with Finance leadership to strengthen controls and drive timely financial closes.

You will supervise staff, manage month-end and year-end closes, support audits, and drive process improvements across the accounting function, delivering accurate reporting and ensuring compliance. This role is based in Bogotá with a hands-on managerial focus.

Formación

• Extensive experience in A/P and A/R management.
• Experience leading accounting teams.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and controls.
• Experience supporting close cycles and audits.

• Manage and supervise A/P and A/R teams, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
• Oversee daily accounting operations, including invoicing, collections, payments, and reconciliations.
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes in coordination with the broader finance team.
• Monitor performance metrics, productivity, and quality across the accounting function.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and applicable standards.
• Support financial reporting, audits, and documentation requests.
• Drive process improvements, automation, and efficiency initiatives.
• Provide coaching, feedback, and development plans for team members.
• Act as a point of escalation for complex accounting issues.

Responsible for leading and overseeing the Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R) functions while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency across the accounting team. This role plays a key managerial function, supervising staff, assigning workloads, and driving performance to meet deadlines and service levels.

The position involves end-to-end ownership of accounting operations, including month-end and year-end close activities, account reconciliations, financial reporting support, and internal control compliance. The Senior Accountant partners closely with Finance leadership to improve processes, strengthen controls, and support audits and business decision-making.
