Job summary

Ilkari, a privately-held start-up based in Dublin, Ireland, is seeking a Technical Operations Centre Engineer to support continuous operation of data centre and cloud environments in Tocancipá, Colombia. You will monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot infrastructure, ensuring availability, performance and security 24/7/365.

You will work with IT, network, systems and security teams, resolve incidents promptly, document actions, and develop processes for service excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Excellent English communication, able to work cross-functionally.
• Experience in TOC or call centre environments preferred.
• Strong customer focus and collaborative mindset.
• Familiarity with IT infrastructure monitoring and 24/7 operations.

Responsibilities

• Monitor data centre network, servers, storage and critical components for production and non-production environments.
• Respond to alerts, diagnose issues, and minimise downtime with documented resolutions.
• Develop processes, procedures and documentation for service excellence.
• Collaborate with IT, network, systems and security teams on maintenance and issues.
• Serve as main contact for external customers during incidents with clear communication.
• Detect, analyse and respond to security incidents while suggesting improvements.
• Act as focal point for outages until restoration and manage related tickets.
• Ensure service delivery aligns with internal KPIs and SLAs.
• Maintain contact with service providers and third parties; apply ITIL best practices.
• Create and update knowledge base articles; participate in 24x7 shift rotations.
