Job summary

Murex Americas is seeking a Staff Accountant based in Santiago de Chile to support LATAM accounting. You will report to the Americas Accounting Manager in New York and assist with daily accounting, vendor/payables, and period-end close.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance with 3+ years in a multinational/shared-services setting, strong GL/AP knowledge, advanced Excel, and fluent English. Eligible for growth within the South America region.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
3+ years in multinational or regional shared services accounting.
Strong GL, AP, accruals and intercompany knowledge.
ERP: Sage, SAP, Oracle.
Advanced Excel (formulas, pivots) and MS Office.
Advanced English mandatory.
Detail-oriented, analytical, self-driven, independent.
Excellent communication across multicultural teams.

Responsibilities

Process reimbursable employee expenses.
Manage vendor invoices with coding, tax, and PO compliance.
Generate and manage purchase orders when required.
Close period-end tasks and ledger entries.
Collaborate with Finance Team for monthly close.
Prepare annual closing with Accounting Manager and Financial Controller per auditors’ list.
Ensure transactions are complete, timely, and compliant with group timelines and controls.
