BHP Group Chile seeks a senior site-based engineering leader to drive capital project delivery across Minera Spence or Minera Escondida. You will lead discipline engineering strategy, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and ensure safe, reliable execution on a 4x3 roster.

You will manage scope, schedule, cost, risk, and governance, review quality, and engage a range of internal and external stakeholders. Fluency in English and Spanish and hands-on experience with MS Office, Aconex, and Primavera

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• Minimum 12 years’ experience in mining or major capital projects.
• Tailings storage facilities operations experience.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Knowledge of design, cost estimating, scheduling, tender processes.
• Willing to work permanently at Minera Spence or Minera Escondida on a 4x3 roster.
• Proficient with MS Office, Aconex, Primavera.
• Fluent in English and Spanish.

Responsabilidades

• Lead discipline engineering strategy and execution across the project lifecycle.
• Apply engineering terminology across civil, structural, process, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and control.
• Establish and implement engineering plans, standards and systems for capital projects.
• Determine quality requirements and review quality control activities.
• Plan, manage and monitor scope, schedule, cost, progress, value and risk.
• Deliver engineering outputs for master schedule, tenders and PO processes.
• Lead governance and assurance activities, including design reviews and constructability checks.
• Identify risks and use risk management to drive safe, productive outcomes.
• Coordinate with stakeholders across Project, Study, Construction, Commissioning, Operations and Maintenance.
• Support selection of consultants and vendors; oversee third-party performance.
• Prepare and review scopes of work and technical tender documentation.
