BHP Chile is seeking a highly experienced site-based engineer to lead discipline engineering for major projects at Minera Spence or Minera Escondida. The role focuses on delivering safe, reliable and efficient project execution with strong leadership across engineering teams.

You will manage scope, schedule and costs, drive technical governance and ensure alignment with standards and regulatory requirements, while coordinating with operations and maintenance teams on a 4x3 roster.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• Minimum 12 years’ experience in mining, major capital projects or site-based engineering roles.
• Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams in mining or project execution.
• Availability to work permanently at Minera Spence or Minera Escondida on a 4x3 roster.

Responsabilidades

• Lead discipline engineering strategy and execution across the project lifecycle.
• Plan, manage and monitor engineering scope, schedule, cost, progress, value and risk.
• Ensure governance, safety, quality and compliance with standards.
• Coordinate with Project, Study, Construction, Commissioning, Operations and Maintenance teams.
• Prepare/ review scopes of work and technical tender documentation; oversee vendor deliverables.
