Job summary

Arcadia Power, Inc. is seeking a highly collaborative Software Engineer to join our Engineering team in Santiago, Chile, with a hybrid remote-first approach.

You will build features for both external users and internal teams, focusing on JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and backend C#/.NET services to power our energy-management platform. You will design and ship REST APIs, model data in SQL, and implement event-driven integrations using messaging services.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of prior experience in a software engineering role.
• Exceptional JavaScript/TypeScript knowledge; strong HTML/CSS.
• Strong backend fundamentals in C#/.NET: API design, async patterns, dependency injection.
• Experience with event-driven and messaging systems (Service Bus, RabbitMQ, Kafka).
• Ability to mentor and collaborate effectively across teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and ship backend services and APIs (C#/.NET, REST).
• Build responsive frontend features in React/TypeScript for operations visibility.
• Model and optimize data in SQL; write efficient queries and migrations.
• Create robust integrations using messaging and ensure idempotent processing.
• Own features end-to-end from design to production support.
• Write automated tests and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Instrument services with logging, metrics, and alerts; troubleshoot issues.
• Contribute to migrating legacy components to a consolidated platform.
• Lead code reviews and mentor junior engineers.
• Collaborate with product, QA, and US-based engineers across time zones.
