Bluelight is a leading software consultancy expanding across the Americas. We seek an experienced software architect to design low-latency, secure, multi-tenant services on AWS, with strong PostgreSQL/AuroraDB expertise. You will mentor teams, drive ADRs, and ensure scalable RESTful APIs across projects.

You will overlap US business hours and contribute to challenging, high-impact client engagements while growing professionally in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years professional software development experience with 3+ years in architecture-focused roles.
• Deep experience designing low-latency service architectures in AWS.
• Experience with explicit latency budgets (p95/p99) and synchronous durable commits.
• Experience designing audit/evidence systems and deterministic history replay.
• Architecting secure multi-tenant environments with tradeoff analyses.
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL/AuroraDB and Row-Level Security.
• Expertise in designing and building scalable RESTful APIs.
• Experience leading architecture reviews and mentoring teams.
• Ability to present architecture decisions in client security reviews.
• Willingness to overlap US business hours.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end architecture for large-scale systems.
• Design secure multi-tenant environments and RLS-based models.
• Define architecture decisions and create ADRs with diagrams.
• Collaborate with clients and engineering teams to deliver quality.
• Mentor engineers and establish architectural standards.
