Job summary

BairesDev is seeking a Principal Backend Engineer (Python) to shape backend architecture powering products serving millions globally. This hands-on leadership role requires ownership of features from design to deployment, working with product and design partners to drive scalable, robust systems.

You will design microservices, implement serverless APIs on AWS, and enforce IaC to enable repeatable deployments while mentoring teammates and influencing technical direction.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of backend engineering experience with Python.
• Hands-on experience with AWS Serverless services.
• Proficiency with PostgreSQL and DynamoDB.
• Experience designing microservices and event-driven architectures.
• Familiarity with infrastructure as code (CDK, CloudFormation, Terraform).
• Advanced proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Design and build backend architecture on cloud-native serverless infrastructure.
• Own complete features end-to-end from design to deployment.
• Design microservices and event-driven systems that scale with demand.
• Define infrastructure as code practices to support repeatable deployments.
• Design APIs consumed by web and mobile applications.
• Collaborate with product and design teams to shape the technical roadmap.
