Job summary

Valmet in Chile is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to turn complex projects into growth across Latin America, excluding Brazil. You will engage owners, EPCs, engineering firms, contractors, and decision makers from identification to contract negotiation.

You will drive pipeline growth, revenue, and market share by leveraging technical knowledge and regional leadership collaboration, with strong English and Spanish skills and optional Portuguese.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Experience in technical sales, business development, project sales, or application engineering.
• Experience in Mining and/or Oil & Gas markets; experience in Desalination and Chemical & Refining desirable.
• Ability to manage complex sales cycles with multiple stakeholders and regional accounts.
• Proficiency in English and Spanish; Portuguese desirable.

Responsibilities

• Identify, qualify, and develop project opportunities across Latin America, building a strong regional pipeline.
• Engage end users, EPCs, engineering firms, contractors, consultants, and decision makers throughout the project lifecycle.
• Lead strategic account and project pursuit plans using market data, investment plans, and industry trends to win opportunities.
• Provide technical and commercial support, including product selection, presentations, clarifications, quotations, and negotiations.
• Collaborate with local sales, product management, application engineering, and regional leadership; keep CRM and forecasts accurate.
