Bechtel seeks a senior Process/Chemical Engineer to lead design for studies and projects in mineral processing. You will draft flow diagrams and P&IDs using MicroStation and SPPID, and collaborate with the Process Discipline Team to meet project requirements.

With 8–14 years of industrial design experience and strong knowledge of mineral processing, you will mentor junior engineers, support safety reviews, and coordinate with clients and regulators to ensure successful project execution.

Formación

• University degree in Industrial/Technical Design or international equivalent.
• 8–14 years of relevant work experience in Process/Chemical design.
• Proficient written and spoken English for technical documents and collaboration.

Responsabilidades

• Evaluating, selecting, and applying standard Process/Chemical design methods, techniques, procedures and criteria for project or assignment to include the preparation of original designs, layouts, details, drawings and specifications.
• Designing, developing, modifying, and evaluating components and processes used in process/chemical utilizing relevant Engineering Department Procedures (EDPs), design standards and guides, and Bechtel Standard Application Programs (BSAPs).
• Preparing or assisting in preparation of conceptual studies, designs, reports or proposals.
• Performing complex system and diagram design, with focus in mineral processing for critical minerals.
• Supporting safety, environmental and operability reviews (HAZOP, CHAP).
• Providing technical assistance to other Process/Chemical personnel and will interact with project functions, the customer, and regulatory agency personnel in the resolution of complex regulatory issues.
• Providing assistance to project and construction management in identifying and complying with project Process/Chemical requirements and in addressing issues as they arise during project execution.
• Mentoring and assisting more junior Process/Chemical team members.
• Supporting Process/Chemical documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance.
• Selecting components and equipment based on analysis of specifications and reliability.
