Bechtel Corporation in Santiago, Chile, is seeking a Senior Process/Chemical Engineer to lead design for the Coroccohuayco project. You will develop flow diagrams and P&IDs and ensure technical issues are resolved while meeting client needs.

You will work within the Process Discipline Team, mentor junior staff, and support safety reviews and project documentation. Fluency in English and experience in mineral processing design are essential.

Formación

• Requires university degree in Industrial/Technical Design (or international equivalent) and 8–10 years of relevant experience or 12–14 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience in engineering environment and mineral processing design knowledge highly considered.

Responsabilidades

• Evaluate, select and apply standard Process/Chemical design methods, techniques, procedures and criteria for projects or assignments.
• Design, develop, modify and evaluate components and processes used in process/chemical domains using BSAPs and design standards.
• Prepare or assist in the preparation of conceptual studies, designs, reports or proposals.
• Perform complex system and diagram design with focus in mineral processing for critical minerals.
• Support safety, environmental and operability reviews (HAZOP, CHAP).
• Provide technical assistance to Process/Chemical personnel and interact with project functions, clients and regulators.
• Provide assistance to project and construction management in identifying and complying with Process/Chemical requirements.
• Mentor and assist junior Process/Chemical team members.
• Support Process/Chemical documentation for installation and maintenance.
• Select components and equipment based on analysis of specifications and reliability.
