Bechtel Corporation is seeking a Senior Control Systems Specialist in Santiago to lead design and specifications for project instrumentation and control. You will coordinate with disciplines, vendors, and clients, guiding junior engineers to deliver high-quality work plans.

The role emphasizes field investigations, cost estimates, and ensuring compliant control system solutions for mining and metals projects. Office/project environment in Santiago with globalBechtel standards.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or international equivalent and 8–10 years of relevant experience, or 12–14 years overall.
• Expertise in control systems architecture for mining/metals.
• Experience with OT networks and cybersecurity in mining/metals.
• Knowledge of Ethernet design and instrumentation selection.
• Familiarity with Profibus-DP and Foundation Fieldbus; Ethernet/IP and Profinet.

Responsabilidades

• Lead design aspects of project engineering for control systems and instrumentation.
• Prepare system specifications and input to designers; manage material requisitions.
• Coordinate control systems efforts across disciplines and with clients, vendors, and contractors.
• Provide guidance to junior engineers; mentor team members; ensure high-quality work plans.
• Develop I/O lists, remote I/O, PLC integration, and fieldbus constraints.
• Support FAT/CAT tests and system interoperability.
