Job summary

Atlas Renewable Energy is seeking an H&S Manager based in Santiago, Chile. This senior role leads health and safety across Atlas's Chile operations, developing and implementing safety programs to minimize risk and protect employee wellbeing while ensuring regulatory compliance and continuous improvement.

• At least 5 years of exposure in construction/operation environments as a manager.
• Background in management and field works.
• Experience managing HS compliance.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and continuously improve H&S policies and management systems, ensuring compliance with Chilean law, Atlas standards, and international requirements.
• Integrate H&S into every phase of the project lifecycle — development, construction, commissioning, and operations.
• Partner with project, construction, operations, and contractor teams to identify risks and close performance gaps.
• Own the electrical safety program end-to-end: energized work authorization, LOTO, arc flash/shock risk assessments, PPE, and competency management for HV/HV work.
• Review, approve, and audit contractor H&S and electrical safety programs before and during mobilization.
• Lead H&S inspections, audits, and assurance activities, driving corrective and preventive actions.
• Lead incident/near-miss investigations using root cause analysis, embedding lessons learned into operations.
• Design and maintain the annual training and competency framework for employees and contractors.
• Deliver key training and coaching, developing site leaders as safety trainers and role models.
• Build and sustain a network of safety champions across Atlas and contractor organizations.
• Drive safety culture maturity through leading/lagging indicators and training completion.
• Coach managers on visible safety leadership and consistent standard application.
• Maintain accurate H&S records, metrics, audits, and regulatory documentation.
• Prepare executive-level reports and presentations for senior management, investors, and partners.
• Monitor regulatory developments and industry best practices to ensure continuous improvement.
