SSC Space is seeking a Senior Ground Systems Engineer to maintain and improve our global satellite ground station infrastructure from Santiago, Chile. You will support hosted customer systems, ensure reliable satellite operations, and coordinate with international teams across engineering and operations.

The role requires hands-on RF expertise, antenna and infrastructure maintenance, and strong documentation. Applicants should be prepared for field work in SSC sites and travel as needed.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, telecommunications, electronics, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience with RF systems and satellite ground station infrastructure (S, X, Ka, VHF, UHF).
• Experience with antenna systems, RF equipment, fiber optics, and infrastructure maintenance.
• Experience troubleshooting complex technical systems in operational environments.
• Basic networking and IT knowledge, IP configuration, Ethernet infrastructure, and software upgrades.
• Experience using RF test equipment such as spectrum analyzers.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain and improve satellite ground station infrastructure.
• Support hosted customer infrastructure and operational systems.
• Troubleshoot RF, antenna, networking, and infrastructure issues.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Operations, and customers for incidents and maintenance.
• Maintain technical documentation and maintenance records.
• Assist with integration, testing, commissioning, and new ground station projects.
• Support field activities and travel to SSC sites as required.
