SSC Space is seeking a Senior Ground Systems Engineer to join the Ground Systems Infrastructure team in Santiago, Chile. You will maintain and enhance the world-spanning satellite ground station network, ensuring high availability for customers worldwide and supporting hosted infrastructure and mission-critical operations.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Telecommunications, Electronics, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience with RF systems and satellite ground station infrastructure (S, X, Ka, VHF, UHF).
• Experience reading and maintaining technical documentation; strong English communication.

Responsabilidades

• Support availability and operational continuity of satellite ground station infrastructure.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on antenna systems, RF equipment, facilities and infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot RF, antenna, networking, and infrastructure issues.
• Support hosted customer infrastructure and operational systems.
• Participate in incident response and restoration during service interruptions.
• Maintain preventive maintenance schedules and maintenance records.
• Analyze equipment failures and identify reliability improvements; assist with spare parts planning and lifecycle.
• Assist with integration, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of new ground station infrastructure.
• Coordinate technical activities with Engineering, Operations, NMCs, contractors, vendors, and customers.
• Prepare maintenance, incident, outage and infrastructure status reports.
• Support automation and continuous improvement initiatives for maintenance and operations.
• Participate in field activities, inspections and maintenance at SSC sites as required.
