Newsela, a leader in education technology, seeks a Senior Full-Stack Quality Engineer to own quality end-to-end for front-end and cloud-based back-end services. You will test AI-powered features, LLM-driven workflows, and non-deterministic components, collaborating with Product, Design, and Engineering to refine criteria into measurable acceptance tests.

You will build and maintain automated test frameworks across UI, API, and service layers, driving release readiness and production health

Formación

• : 5+ years of software testing in an Agile Scrum environment.
• : Automation experience with TS/JS/Python and hands-on tooling.
• : Full-spectrum testing across manual, exploratory, regression, API/services, and database testing.
• : Strong understanding of Git, PR workflows, and CI/CD pipelines.
• : Experience using AI coding assistants or AI tooling in daily QA work.

Responsabilidades

• Own end-to-end automation and framework development across UI, API, and service layers.
• Test and validate AI models and external AI tools as part of quality assurance.
• Own test planning, execution, and release support from story validation to production deployment.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Design to refine acceptance criteria.
• Provide technical guidance, code reviews, and mentorship within the QA team.
• Establish defect tracking, triage, and observability practices with AI tooling.
