IDB Invest seeks a seasoned professional to lead environmental and social risk assessment and management for financed projects in Latin America and the Caribbean. You will align projects with the Environmental and Social Sustainability Policy (ESSP) and support teams during due diligence and supervision to ensure sustainable outcomes.

You will contribute to designing mitigation plans, supporting clients with ESG requirements, and monitoring compliance across the project lifecycle.

Formación

• Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum 5 years in environmental and social impact assessments in Latin America and the Caribbean.
• Experience applying IFC Performance Standards; expertise in resettlement and Indigenous Peoples.
• Proficiency in Spanish and English; French/Portuguese is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Support origination, execution, and monitoring of investment projects with ESG integration.
• Conduct environmental and social due diligence and risk assessments.
• Contribute to mitigation measures and action plans.
• Support clients in meeting environmental and social requirements and strengthen ESG capacity.
• Provide technical input on ESG matters throughout the project cycle.
• Monitor compliance with environmental and social standards and commitments.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to advance sustainable development objectives.
• Support stakeholder engagement and consultation processes.
