Job summary

EPAM Systems Inc. seeks a Senior DevOps Engineer to lead the platform transition, decommission legacy apps, and strengthen MCP Hosting Infra.

You will set technical direction, shape automation, and mentor engineers across teams as you drive migrations and architecture changes. You will oversee the spin-down of applications, influence AWS-based Kubernetes infrastructure, and guide the evolution of AI Marketplace and authentication strategies.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering.
• Experience leading technical work end to end, including migrations or decommissions.
• Experience designing authentication or credential-management systems using OAuth2, or operating them at scale.
• Experience in monitoring and observability practices.
• Strong English communication at B2+ level.

Responsibilities

• Lead the spin-down of two applications with migration plans and stakeholder communication.
• Influence the architecture and reliability of MCP Hosting Infra (Kubernetes on AWS) and the gateway with per-user credential handling.
• Guide the evolution of AI Marketplace and define the support automation strategy.
• Set standards for Terraform, observability, runbooks, and on-call practices.
• Review bot escalations and translate into prioritized automation work.
• Mentor mid-level engineers through code review, design review, and pairing.
• Act as escalation point for complex incidents and cross-team requests.
• Partner with product and other teams to prioritize work and set expectations.
