Job summary

APPLY, a hybrid/remote-friendly ACx partner, is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to own data foundations on Snowflake with dbt-based ELT. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients to define data requirements, migrate sources, and activate data into engagement platforms like Braze.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in data engineering, expert SQL, dbt, and cloud experience (AWS/GCP). Strong communication and English fluency are required to succeed in a client-facing role.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in data engineering.
• Expert-level SQL with hands-on Snowflake ELT/ETL experience.
• Strong dbt skills and git-based workflows (CI/CD).
• Experience in data modelling and identity resolution.
• Experience integrating data with Braze or marketing platforms.
• Knowledge of Python for data tooling.
• Proficient in one cloud platform (AWS or GCP).
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
• Fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Define data requirements and technology stack for projects.
• Audit source systems and define migration guidelines.
• Translate business needs into technical specs for data streams and warehouses.
• Design and build dbt transformations on Snowflake.
• Build pipelines to activate data in customer engagement platforms (Braze).
• Document data sources and data lineage for discovery.
