Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a Senior Engineer of Costs and Field Planning for the Escondida New Truck Shop project. The role focuses on control, analysis, projection, and reporting of costs and schedules for two scopes: the new concrete batching plant and the existing plant operation.

You will serve as the field Project Controls focal point, delivering timely information to support management decisions and ensuring dashboards, budgets, and staffing plans stay aligned with contract requirements.

Qualifications

Experience in Project Control/Cost Management.
Experience in engineering and construction management projects, ideally in mining.
Experience in engineering, procurement, contracting and construction.
Demonstrated experience in cost estimation, cost control and cost analysis.
Budget/forecast monitoring and cost/commitment analysis.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

Coordinating with project team and providing cost and planning support.
Executing cost control and planning activities per Bechtel and customer procedures.
Preparing cost studies using historical data and comparisons.
Preparing cost trend estimates for the cost trend program.
Monitoring and reporting costs and planning progress to ensure compliance.
