Job summary

BYD Chile is seeking a Corporate Lawyer to provide comprehensive legal guidance and ensure compliance with applicable laws while supporting business operations across the organization. Qualifications

• Law degree and authorization to practice law in Chile.
• Ideally 5+ years of relevant professional experience, preferably with multinational companies or law firms advising corporate clients.
• Expertise in corporate and commercial law, contract management, labor law, compliance, and litigation management.
• Advanced English, both written and spoken, for interactions with Headquarters and international stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on corporate, commercial, contractual, labor, regulatory, and administrative matters.
• Draft, review, negotiate, and manage contracts, NDAs, and other legal documents.
• Identify and assess legal risks, and recommend preventive measures and mitigation plans.
• Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, internal policies, and corporate standards.
• Coordinate and supervise external law firms and legal advisors.
• Support negotiations with customers, suppliers, and partners to protect the company's interests.
• Maintain control of legal documentation and monitor regulatory developments.
• Prepare legal reports and risk assessments for General Management.
