Sezzle is seeking a Senior Technical Product Manager to own the core banking platform, including the ledger, accounts, and money movement. You will drive discovery, architecture, vendor decisions, requirements, build, and launch end-to-end in a fast-paced fintech environment.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Finance, Compliance, Treasury, and Risk to shape the platform, write technical specs, and monitor key metrics.

Formación

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or other technical discipline (required).
• 5–10 years of product experience, with meaningful time spent on financial infrastructure rather than only customer-facing surfaces.
• Real ownership in at least one of the following: Ledgers/general ledger, payments, card issuing, deposits/accounts, lending, or product work at a processor/BaaS/vendor.

Responsabilidades

• Own the banking platform roadmap and sequence platform work for accounts, deposits, cards, and lending on a single ledger model.
• Evaluate core banking platforms, run vendor diligence, model cost and time-to-market, and decide build vs. buy.
• Shape the account and ledger model with Engineering and Finance on hierarchies, sub-ledgers, COA mapping, posting rules, holds, accruals, and GL integration.
• Specify money movement including transfers, ACH, card issuing, network settlement, real-time rails, and settlement reconciliation.
• Make the platform auditable with reporting, traceability, and controls for Finance, audit, and regulators.
• Partner with Compliance/Legal to turn regulatory requirements into platform capabilities and disclosures.
• Plan migration and cutover including data mapping, parallel runs, validation, and rollback plans.
• Write detailed specs, API contracts, event schemas, data models, user stories, and release plans end-to-end.
• Use data to prove it works with KPIs (latency, reconciliation breaks, settlement accuracy).
• Manage risk early by anticipating edge cases and dependencies before incidents.
• Operate with urgency delivering against evolving regulatory and business timelines.
