Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking a Lead Agentic AI Engineer to own scalable autonomous agent systems and production architecture, reliability, and operational excellence. You will shape production-grade agentic workflows using AWS Bedrock AgentCore and proven agentic frameworks, improving evals, tracing, guardrails, and cost controls.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of production software experience, including 2+ years shipping LLM-based agents
• Proficient in Python with experience in agentic frameworks
• Familiar with AWS Bedrock AgentCore primitives
• Deep knowledge of MCP, tool use, memory architectures, and evaluation
• Strong production engineering skills: observability, guardrails, retries, security boundaries
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher

Responsibilities

• Define architecture to build, deploy, and operate autonomous agents covering runtime, memory, identity, tools and observability
• Champion adoption of AWS Bedrock AgentCore and Strands Agents SDK across deployments
• Architect durable long-term memory and context-management systems for multi-step engagements
• Create and maintain MCP servers and tool integrations agents invoke (recon, scanners, primitives, internal services)
• Optimize agent reasoning reliability, cost, latency; set standards for evals, tracing, and guardrails
