FullStack is seeking a Principal SQL Database Administrator to join our talent network and work with U.S. clients on flexible, project-based development projects.

You will be embedded in our client's team, collaborating daily with their designers and engineers to maintain enterprise-scale SQL Server environments. The role requires 8+ years in database administration, strong English proficiency, and a four-year degree.

Formación

• 8+ years of professional Database Administration experience.
• Advanced English is required.
• Successful completion of a four-year college degree is required.
• Demonstrated experience administering and maintaining Microsoft SQL Server at significant scale, ideally across 1,000+ databases or an equivalent enterprise environment.
• Deep expertise in SQL Server administration within Windows-hosted environments.
• Strong experience with SQL Server performance tuning, troubleshooting, and optimization.
• Advanced knowledge of SQL Server indexing strategies and index optimization.
• Strong experience analyzing execution plans, query performance, waits, blocking, locking, and other SQL Server performance indicators.
• Proven ability to identify and resolve database performance bottlenecks proactively.
• Strong understanding of SQL Server maintenance and ongoing database health management.
• Demonstrated ability to establish database administration standards, procedures, and best practices in environments where formal DBA processes may not yet exist.
• Proven experience troubleshooting complex production database issues and determining root causes.
• Consultative mindset with the confidence to challenge ineffective approaches and recommend better technical solutions.
• Ability to operate at scale, prioritizing issues and improvements across a large number of databases without losing attention to operational detail.
• Strong ownership mentality, with the ability to independently manage the health and performance of a large database environment.
