Sovos is hiring a Senior Database Administrator to lead the performance, security, and availability of enterprise database environments powering our SaaS applications. You will be hands-on, mentor peers, and collaborate with software engineers to ensure scalable data platforms and reliable operations.

Formación

• Hands-on production DB administration experience.
• Proven ability to resolve complex performance issues.
• Strong knowledge of database internals and disaster recovery.
• Experience with patches, upgrades, and high-availability setups.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as SME for critical database technologies, leading incident resolution across SQL Server environments.
• Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and tune queries for faster response times.
• Review query designs and schema changes with engineers to ensure efficiency and scalability.
• Lead patches, upgrades, migrations with minimal downtime and robust backup/recovery strategies.
• Mentor junior DBAs and application teams in best practices and operations.
• Leverage AI-assisted tooling to streamline monitoring and root-cause analysis.
• Communicate database health, maintenance status, and risks clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
