BairesDev, a global technology company, is seeking a Senior Java & Hive Engineer. You will design and build high-performance distributed query engine components to power large-scale data processing, driving architectural improvements for scalability and efficiency.

You will mentor engineers, collaborate across teams, and work 100% remotely with flexible hours. Proficiency in English is essential as you will engage with a worldwide talent network and deliver impactful data platform enhancements.

Formación

• 5+ years of software engineering experience in data processing or databases.
• Proven expertise in Java and Apache Hive.
• Hands-on experience with database internals and SQL optimization.
• Experience designing distributed query engines and scalable architectures.
• Strong English communication and collaboration with global teams.

Responsabilidades

• Lead design and development of distributed query engine components for large-scale data workloads.
• Optimize SQL query processing and execution plans to reduce latency.
• Implement performance enhancements within database internals and distributed systems.
• Set architectural standards for scalability, reliability, and cross-team alignment.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, promoting best practices in distributed computing.
