Job summary

NHS Lanarkshire is seeking a dedicated Domestic Services Worker to provide cleaning services for patients, staff and visitors in hospital environments.

You will undertake cleaning tasks using machinery and cleaning agents, follow COSHH guidelines, and support new staff in a busy ward setting, with a pattern of Monday to Wednesday nights 23:00–07:00, ensuring safe and welcoming surroundings.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of cleaning standards and related procedures.
• Working knowledge Health & Safety including risk assessment.
• Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Ability to carry out assigned tasks effectively in a busy environment.

Responsibilities

• Undertake cleaning tasks using machinery and cleaning appliances.
• Ensure cleaning meets required standards and report areas not cleaned.
• Utilise cleaning materials per Health & Safety and COSHH guidelines.
• Maintain safety and consideration of patients, staff and visitors.
