Job summary
Wabtec is seeking a field service engineer to provide technical leadership and on-site support for OHV Drive Systems across Chile and surrounding regions. You will perform commissioning, troubleshooting, warranty support, and data analysis in collaboration with engineering teams, OEMs, distributors, and customers.
Domestic and international travel up to 80% and high-altitude mining environments are expected.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with 3+ years in mining truck drive systems or 5+ years in related field service.
- Experience with design, validation, testing, commissioning, and field support.
- Willingness to travel up to 80% domestically and internationally.
Responsibilities
- Perform commissioning and startup activities for OHV Drive Systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot onsite inspections and remote support.
- Monitor fleet performance and coordinate corrective actions.
- Submit field and commissioning reports in Salesforce, ServiceMax, and other approved systems.
- Review warranty claims and support investigations and failures.
- Develop and maintain relationships with customers, OEMs, distributors, and internal stakeholders.
