Job summary

Olympus Field Service Engineers service and maintain Olympus medical products across assigned accounts, providing expert technical support under supervision. The role requires traveling to customer sites, facilitating installations, upgrades, troubleshooting, and on-site customer training to ensure device performance and satisfaction.

Candidates should have electronics discipline education or equivalent experience, plus field service or military tech experience, strong customer service skills,

Qualifications

• Associate degree in electronics, computer science or related technical discipline required or minimum 4 years of equivalent experience with medical devices or military tech experience.
• 1–3 years as a Field Service Engineer or equivalent experience.
• Experience with electromechanical/microprocessor-based products.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction with products and service.
• Respond to customer inquiries while complying with regulatory requirements and quality systems.
• Train customers on basic operation of products.
• Provide feedback on product questions and field performance; suggest service improvements.
• Perform installations, upgrades, testing, and all aspects of technical support.
• Escalate issues promptly to service management.
• Coordinate with territory sales representatives.
• Support at conventions and customer trials.
• Travel to customer facilities for onsite support.
