Atlas Renewable Energy is looking for a Market Operation Analyst (Contractor) based in Santiago. This role will support the optimal operation and regulatory compliance of Atlas's renewable energy portfolio, including market monitoring and regulatory analysis.

The ideal candidate will contribute to the Chilean electricity grid operations while fostering relationships with sector entities. Candidates should have an engineering degree, preferably in electrical engineering, and relevant experience in commercial operations or regulatory agencies.

Formación

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a Market Operation Analyst (Contractor) based in Santiago. Will support the optimal operation and regulatory compliance of Atlas’s renewable energy and storage portfolio. Contribute to market monitoring, regulatory analysis, and commercial strategy.

What challenges will you face?

System Operations

• Monitor the operation of the Chilean electricity grid, analyzing BESS dispatch, curtailment management, marginal costs, and dynamic system performance in support of Atlas's renewable energy transition strategy.
• Track the readiness of Atlas's BESS fleet for Ancillary Services (SSCC) market participation, supporting offer preparation, performance monitoring, arbitrage optimization, and the development of associated automation tools.
• Participate in the preparation of operation proposals for the CEN — both real-time and post-operation — and support the technical pushback through analytical evidence to challenge operational decisions.
• Contribute to the development of internal monitoring and automation capabilities that optimize fleet operation and strengthen Atlas's position before the CEN.

Regulatory Analysis & Transmission

• Monitor Chilean electricity regulation — current and in development — and track studies by national authorities affecting Atlas's portfolio, providing inputs to the Regulatory Committee.
• Follow up on transmission infrastructure projects with direct or indirect impact on Atlas's assets, assessing their operational and commercial implications.
• Support the technical-regulatory and commercial analysis related to the data center integration strategy, including connection prefeasibility, node analysis, and regulatory monitoring.

Institutional Relations

• Support the relationship with sector entities — CEN, CNE, SEC, Ministry of Energy, and others — on technical, commercial, and regulatory matters, including automation initiatives and efficient curtailment utilization.

What specific knowledge do you need?

• Experience in commercial operations, or in performing similar tasks at public utilities, standards organizations (ISO), independent power producers (IPP), regulatory agencies, energy retailers, other energy generation or retail companies, or market consulting firms is desirable but not required.
• Engineering degree, electrical engineering is preferred
