Job summary

Burgerhaus is hiring a Line Cook to join our kitchen for busy service. You will prepare ingredients, cook menu items, maintain station cleanliness, and work with a team to deliver consistent quality.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of food prep experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and culinary training preferred. Knowledge of nutrition guidelines and safe food handling is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
• Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
• Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
• Answer, report and follow Kitchen Manager or General Manager’s instructions
• Clean up station and take care of prepared food ingredients
• Stock inventory appropriately
• Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
• Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• Graduate of a culinary institute, military school or formal on-the-job training preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of food preparation experience required.
• Experience with quantity food preparation preferred.
• Demonstrate cooking skills and ability to follow established menus and recipes.
• Knowledge of proper nutritional requirements.
