Job summary

Bechtel Corporation in Iqiuqe is seeking an experienced Materials Manager to oversee on-site materials management for the Doña Inés de Collahuasi project, developing and implementing the project materials management plan, procedures, staffing, inventory levels, and security.

The role involves coordinating with the PFPM, establishing site metrics, and ensuring compliance with procurement and work-site instructions while supporting surplus disposal programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) with 5–8 years of relevant experience, or 9–12 years.
• Knowledge of field materials management and automated systems.
• Strong supervisory, organizational, and planning abilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare or assist in the preparation of organization charts for materials management at operating locations and temporary work sites.
• Assist in preparing field procurement labor-hour estimates and monitor utilization.
• Staff project operating locations and temporary work sites; coordinate staffing requirements.
• Recommend facilities and equipment for professional materials administration operations.
• Review performance against project procurement procedures and site instructions.
• Establish site-specific metrics to measure field materials management performance.
• Assist in establishing and monitoring disposal of surplus materials and equipment.
