Job summary

Bechtel in Iquique, Chile, seeks a seasoned Construction Supervisor to support and advise on contractor activities within the Doña Inés de Collahuasi project. You will coordinate with the Client CM and ensure work aligns with drawings, specs, and safety requirements.

Responsibilities include reviewing schedules, advising on construction methods, monitoring risk controls, and promoting a zero-accident culture on site while coordinating with construction teams across disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Advising the review and monitoring of contractors' construction schedules and resource diagrams.
• Advising the revision of the construction methods proposed by the contractors.
• Supporting the monitoring of the planned and executed work methods, ensuring safety and according to design.
• Advising CM in the correct execution of the works by the Contractor, verifying installation of materials and equipment to drawings and specs.
• Applying risk management policies and promoting risk analysis, permits, controls and preventive measures.
• Supporting the zero-accident philosophy through leadership, inspections, and coordination with construction teams.
• Identifying safety or quality deviations and following up corrective actions until closure.

Education

Engineering degree (Civil/Mechanical)
