Siemens Energy is seeking a senior commercial specialist to lead the full sales cycle for decarbonization solutions across South America, with emphasis on Chile. You will cultivate relationships with utilities, IPPs, EPCs and partners, and coordinate with engineering, bid management and finance to deliver value-driven proposals.

You will manage opportunities, push for growth in EMS, microgrid control, and energy storage solutions, and travel up to 40% across the region.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• 5+ years in business development or sales in the energy sector, decarbonization focus preferred.
• Strong understanding of South American energy markets and regulatory context.

A Snapshot of Your Day

As the primary commercial reference for the Controls & Digitalization (CD) portfolio in South America, you will be responsible for developing and growing the Decarbonization business across the region while supporting sales activities within the traditional CD portfolio. Your day will involve driving the full sales cycle for decarbonization solutions, engaging with customers and partners, developing market opportunities, and collaborating with technical and commercial teams to deliver value-driven solutions. You will report directly to the Head of Digitalization & Decarbonization in Latin America.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Drive the complete sales cycle for Decarbonization solutions across South America, from prospecting and opportunity qualification through commercial negotiation and order closure.
• Develop and grow pipeline for hybrid power plant controllers, Energy Management Systems (EMS), microgrid control solutions, and battery energy storage integration projects.
• Support commercial activities within the traditional Controls & Digitalization portfolio, including DCS modernization, AVR solutions, control system upgrades, and related services, with a particular focus on the Chilean market.
• Build and strengthen long‑term relationships with utilities, IPPs, EPCs, consultants, industrial customers, and strategic partners across the region.
• Collaborate with Bid Management, Engineering, Finance, Legal, and Execution teams to deliver technically sound, commercially competitive, and compliant proposals.
• Monitor market trends, regulatory developments, competitor activities, and customer needs while representing Siemens Energy at industry events, technical workshops, and customer meetings.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Control Systems, Mechanical, or related disciplines); business or commercial training is considered an advantage.
• 5+ years of experience in business development or sales within the energy sector, preferably related to decarbonization, renewable energy, digitalization, or energy management solutions.
• Proven ability to independently manage the full commercial cycle, including prospecting, opportunity development, proposal preparation, negotiation, and contract closure.
• Strong understanding of South American energy markets, regulatory frameworks, and project development dynamics, particularly in Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Argentina, and Peru.
• Technical knowledge of EMS, microgrid control systems, battery energy storage integration, hybrid plant controllers, and/or conventional control and digitalization solutions.
• Professional working proficiency in English and willingness to travel across South America up to 40% of the time.

About The Team

You will join the Gas Services Controls & Digitalization organization, supporting both the installed base of power plant control systems and the Digitalization & Decarbonization growth strategy across Latin America. Working closely with regional commercial, engineering, and bid management teams, you will help expand Siemens Energy’s presence in emerging decarbonization markets while strengthening our traditional Controls & Digitalization business throughout South America.
