Ria Money Transfer in Chile is looking for an Engineering Manager to lead product squads, balancing people development with technical oversight. You will guide squads to deliver scalable, reliable products, owning delivery commitments, growing your engineers, and fostering a culture of ownership where quality is built in.

You will mentor engineers, run 1-on-1s, manage performance and compensation reviews, and champion career growth while partnering with product on scope and metrics.

Formación

• 8+ years in software engineering, with 4+ years managing engineering teams and direct accountability for delivery outcomes.
• Strong technical background (backend, web, or mobile at scale) with ability to engage in architecture discussions.
• Proven experience running agile delivery end to end: planning, estimation, sprint execution, reporting.
• Track record of growing and retaining engineers through mentoring and performance development.
• Experience managing cross-team dependencies in multi-team or distributed organizations.
• Ownership mindset: proactively surface risks and own squad results.
• Metrics-driven: guided priorities using business and operational metrics such as uptime and retention.
• Strong written and verbal communication in English.
• Familiarity with test automation and shift-left quality practices.
• Nice to have fintech/payments domain experience.

About This Role

As an Engineering Manager, you will lead product squads, balancing people development with technical oversight. Position Requirements

• 8+ years in software engineering, with 4+ years managing engineering teams and direct accountability for delivery outcomes, not only people administration.
• Strong technical background (backend, web, or mobile at scale): credible in architecture discussions and able to challenge estimates and trade-offs.
• Proven experience running agile delivery end to end: planning, estimation, sprint execution, stakeholder reporting — with the instinct to push back on scope rather than absorb it.
• Track record of growing and retaining engineers: mentoring, career development, performance evaluation.
• Experience managing cross-team dependencies in a multi-team or distributed organization.
• Ownership mindset: proactively surfaces risks before being asked; treats squad results as their own.
• Metrics-driven: has steered priorities using business and operational metrics (conversion, retention, uptime, error rates).
• Strong written and verbal communication in English.
• Familiarity with test automation and shift-left quality practices.
• Enthusiasm for AI-assisted engineering workflows and willingness to make them the default.
• Nice to have: fintech/payments domain experience;
