Job summary

International School Nido de Aguilas is seeking Elementary/Middle School Counselors for the 2027–2028 school year. The role focuses on proactive counseling, collaboration with families, and building healthy relationships across ages.

Two positions may be filled, with a full-time commitment and reporting to the respective elementary or middle school principals. Applicants should have certification in psychology/counseling, experience in international settings, and comfort working in both Spanish

Qualifications

• Certification in Psychology/Counseling required.
• Experience in international schools preferred.
• Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.
• Experience with Social-Emotional Learning programs.
• Ability to support diverse families.

Responsibilities

• Plan and evaluate a comprehensive school counseling program.
• Organize preventive social and emotional learning programs.
• Support teachers to integrate SEL curriculum into academics.
• Provide individual or short-term small group counseling.
• Collaborate with parents and staff for student wellbeing.
• Coordinate referrals to mental health and educational specialists.
• Participate in safeguarding and school-life committees.
• Maintain confidential records and case management.
