Qualifications

• HS English teaching experience in grades 9-10; US Common Core Standards preferred.
• IB English (A Language and Literature and/or A Literature) teaching experience and training required.
• Experience with competency-based or standards-based learning preferred.
• Solid knowledge of current research and trends in curriculum, instruction, and assessment.
• Demonstrated collaboration with colleagues.
• Minimum of 2 years teaching experience.
• High level of English proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Participate in teaching five sections of English courses in HS.
• Engage in co-curricular program by advising a club or coaching an athletic team.
• Serve as an Advisor for a small group of 8–12 high school students.
• Collaborate with the English department to develop and improve curricula; participate in weekly planning meetings.
• Promote a positive, collaborative school culture within the Nido community.
• Contribute to the mission, vision, and values of Nido.
• Support Week Without Walls program during the year.
