Job summary

EPAM Systems Inc in Chile seeks a Security-minded Support Engineer to protect critical infrastructure and counter evolving threats. You will monitor environments, hunt for threats, and enhance incident response through SIEM/SOAR playbooks in a collaborative, cross-functional setting.

The role emphasizes proactive security operations, hands-on CrowdStrike, Splunk ES, AWS security, Cortex XSOAR, and clear reporting to technical staff and leadership. Strong English skills required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in network security.
• Hands-on experience with CrowdStrike Falcon for endpoint protection and remediation.
• Familiarity with email security and phishing prevention solutions.
• Extensive background in security investigations to identify breaches.
• Experience in continuous security monitoring to detect and respond to threats.
• Operational involvement across diverse security disciplines.
• Working knowledge of Splunk Enterprise Security for tracking, detection and reporting.
• English proficiency at B2 or higher.

Responsibilities

• Monitor local and AWS environments for hostile actions, intrusions, and anomalous behavior.
• Observe identity and access management operations and detect privilege misuse.
• Design SIEM and SOAR detection and mitigation procedures and build playbooks.
• Conduct proactive threat hunting and contribute to threat intelligence workflows.
• Execute additional security administration tasks alongside monitoring duties.
• Produce clear status summaries for technical teams, management and stakeholders.
• Analyze threat trends and identify weaknesses in systems.
