Job summary

UN Women Chile invites applications for the role of Country Programme Coordinator. The successful candidate will lead the country programme, work with government, donors, and partners, and ensure results on gender equality and women’s empowerment.

S/he will oversee planning, budgeting, monitoring, and reporting while coordinating with regional and HQ teams. The role requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and capacity-building skills, with a proven track record in development projects

Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent in social sciences, human rights, gender studies, international development, or related field.
• A first-level university degree with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted.
• A project/programme management certification is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Chile country programme and develop annual work plans.
• Monitor and manage daily programme activities to ensure timely results.
• Provide substantive technical support and capacity development to national partners on women's peace and security, economic empowerment, and ending violence against women.
• Monitor and report on progress, including donor reports.
• Manage people and financial resources, including budget oversight, staff supervision and performance management.
• Coordinate with regional and HQ staff, donors and civil society; foster partnerships and resource mobilization.
