Job summary

UN Women Chile is seeking a Country Programme Coordinator to lead the country programme, drive strategic planning, and manage day-to-day implementation with HQ and regional offices. You will oversee budgets, donor reporting, and partner capacity building to advance gender equality and women’s empowerment in Chile.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent in social sciences, human rights, gender/women’s studies, international development, or related field.
• First-level university degree with two additional years of qualifying experience accepted in lieu of an advanced degree.
• Project/programme management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or MSP) would be an added advantage.
• At least 5 years of progressively responsible experience in design, planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of development projects.
• Experience in establishing and strengthening partnerships between international organizations and national governments.
• Experience in gender and human rights of women.
• Experience in leading and coaching staff.
• Experience in resource mobilization is desirable.
• Experience in programme budget management is desirable.
• Experience in UN system project/programme management systems is desirable.
• Experience with MS Word, Excel and related office software

Responsibilities

• Lead the Chile country programme and coordinate with regional and HQ offices.
• Develop, implement, and monitor the annual workplan, including budget and results framework.
• Ensure delivery of programme activities and compliance with donor requirements.
• Prepare for programme audits and implement recommendations.
• Provide technical support to national partners in gender equality and women’s empowerment.
• Manage capacity building, partnerships, and donor relations.
• Establish monitoring systems and prepare progress and donor reports.
• Supervise staff and oversee recruitment and performance management.
• Support inter-agency coordination and joint programming efforts.
