Job summary

UN Women Chile is seeking a Country Programme Coordinator to lead the country office in planning, implementing and monitoring the programme. You will ensure effective use of resources, provide technical leadership on gender equality and women’s empowerment, and coordinate with regional HQ, government partners and donors to advance programme goals.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent in social sciences, human rights, gender/women’s studies, international development, or related field.
• At least 5 years progressively responsible experience in design, planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of development projects.
• Fluency in Spanish and working knowledge of English; knowledge of another UN language desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Chile country programme, planning and implementing annual workplans and budgets.
• Monitor delivery of programme activities and ensure timely results reporting to donors and HQ.
• Provide substantive technical support on gender equality, women’s empowerment and related areas.
• Establish and strengthen partnerships with national authorities, UN agencies and donors.
• Oversee recruitment, capacity building and performance management of staff.
• Support resource mobilization and development of programme documentation for donors.
