Met T&S Ltd. is looking for an experienced NDT Coordinator in Valparaíso, Chile. The role involves supervising welding procedures and ensuring compliance with specifications. Candidates must have at least 3 years of experience in oil & gas and documented experience in NDT and welding inspections.

This position is strictly for individuals authorized to work in Chile. Skills in communication, self-motivation, and proficiency in Spanish are essential, along with excellent IT skills.

Formación

• At least 3 years of experience in oil & gas, EPC projects, and refinery.
• Documented experience in non-destructive testing and welding inspection.
• Documentation of experience coordinating NDT works on major construction sites.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise welding procedures and qualifications on site.
• Check field welds compliance with specifications.
• Ensure non-destructive tests and heat treatment are executed correctly.
• Maintain reports for non-destructive tests.
• Obtain approvals for procedure changes and repairs.
• Prepare monthly report sections.

About the Project / Job Summary

He/she reports to the Construction Quality Engineer or to the QAM, if present.

He/she verifies that non‑destructive tests have been correctly performed according to welding procedure qualifications, welds, and heat treatment specifications.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervise welding procedure qualifications to be employed at Site and the qualifications of the welders operating within the plant, according to Project specifications and standards.
• Check that field welds comply with Project specifications.
• Check the execution of non‑destructive tests and heat treatment; ensure all repairs are performed correctly and non‑destructive tests are regularly repeated.
• Keep a report file for all non‑destructive tests and heat treatment performed.
• Obtain any necessary approval for changing, as appropriate, welding procedures and for performing repairs requiring special procedures.
• Prepare his own section of the monthly report.
• The NDT Coordinator’s principal duties and responsibilities shall be the administration and coordination of onsite NDT activities.
• Have Aramco approval as NDT coordinator.
• Have documented prior direct NDT and welding inspection experience as well as documented experience in the coordination of NDT works on major construction sites, preferably petrochemical plants.

Experience

• Relevant experience in oil & gas, industrial sector, EPC projects, and refinery.
• At least 3 years of experience in this specific discipline.
