Job summary

Glencore Copper SAOP in Chile seeks a Specialist in Communities and Social Performance to lead stakeholder relations in the field and implement the Stakeholder Relationship Plan across dispersed rural locations in the Coquimbo Region. The role requires travel by road and extensive fieldwork, including trips to La Serena and Santiago.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a sociology, anthropology, social work, communications or related field.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and implementation of contracting strategies.
• Implement the Stakeholder Relationship Plan in the field, strengthening relationships of trust with communities, organizations and local authorities.
• Manage community interactions, commitments, inquiries, and complaints, ensuring their timely registration, follow-up, and closure.
• Analyze the dynamics of the territory and identify risks, tensions, relevant changes and opportunities for the project in advance.
• Organize and facilitate meetings, informative activities and spaces for citizen participation, promoting clear, transparent and respectful communication.
• Coordinate the work of the technical teams on the ground and support initiatives for social investment, local development, employment and local supply.
• Promote Glencore's standards of safety, integrity, human rights and conduct in all activities and interactions of the role.
