FinOps Weekly is seeking a FinOps Lead to establish and manage cloud financial management as its cloud platform scales. You will bridge Engineering, Finance, and Product to improve cost visibility, forecasting, and governance, with hands-on AWS cost management.

You will implement tagging, showback/chargeback, and manage RI/Savings Plans, driving cost savings and accountability across the organisation. The role suits a detail-focused leader who can influence senior stakeholders and embed FinOps

Formación

• Proven experience managing significant cloud spend within AWS or another large-scale public cloud environment.
• Strong understanding of AWS and cloud-native infrastructure.
• Experience identifying and delivering meaningful cloud cost savings.
• Knowledge of Reserved Instances, Savings Plans, and cloud pricing models.
• Experience with FinOps or cloud cost-management tools.
• Strong understanding of tagging and cost allocation.
• Experience implementing showback and/or chargeback frameworks.
• Strong analytical skills, including the ability to work with cloud consumption and financial data.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across Engineering, Finance, and Product.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsabilidades

• Own cloud cost management and optimisation across the organisation.
• Monitor AWS consumption and identify opportunities to reduce unnecessary spend.
• Develop tagging and cost allocation standards.
• Implement showback and chargeback models.
• Manage Reserved Instances, Savings Plans, and other cloud commercial commitments.
• Partner with Engineering and Finance on cloud forecasting and investment decisions.
• Establish FinOps governance, reporting, and operating processes.
• Introduce and manage cloud cost-management tooling.
• Improve visibility and accountability for cloud consumption.
• Embed FinOps best practices across the organisation.
