NHS Ayrshire and Arran is seeking a motivated Registered Nurse at Band 6 level to lead clinical operations within our two acute hospitals. This role features a 36-hour week with rotational 24/7 shifts and requires a UK driving licence.

You will manage in-patient bed allocation, coordinate strategic bed management, and ensure effective patient flow from Emergency Departments to receiving wards. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Formación

  • Extensive Band 6 level experience in an acute setting.
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent post-registration experience.
  • Flow experience ,Extended skills i.e IV cannulation , IV administration, ALS Provider.
  • NMC Registration Part 1 – Part 12
  • Proven team working skills

  • To effectively deal with area closures ensuring that impact on patient services is not compromised.

Position

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a (Clinical Operations Manager) within our 2 Acute Hospitals (AYR Base).

Hours

36 hours, 12.5 Hour shifts, Rotational 24/7 1 x 36 hours post 1 x 24 hours post This post is offered on a permanent basis

UK Driving Licence

A UK driving licence is essential for this role.

What You Will Do

NHS Ayrshire and Arran is currently seeking a motivated Registered Nurse on Part 1 or 12 of the NMC Register with considerable relevant acute experience for the post of Clinical Operations Manager. This post has a rotational shift pattern. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as is the ability to work flexibly and co-operate with teams within the challenges of acute health and other settings. You will be able to:

  • Manage the day to day aspects of in-patient bed allocation
  • Actively involved in the co-ordination and development of a strategic and operational framework for bed management which has implications for the service.
  • Establish and maintain excellent communications with all staff within each site to support maximum bed management efficiency.
  • Provide a service that ensures effective, efficient and responsive patient flow from the Emergency Departments to the Combined Assessment Unit and other Receiving Wards, and on to appropriate specialties.
